Who is this Jezebel?

photoFor far too many years, I’ve had the unfortunate opportunity to read countless articles and see vast amounts of sermons penning a Jezebel spirit to the female personality. Preacher after well-meaning preacher/prophet, filtering the Word of God through their fleshly minds have caused so much irreparable damage to the women that Jesus gave His life for and loves, suffering simply because they’ve obeyed the Lord or sought to do so with a pure heart and they happen to be a woman. How many more daughters will be broken to pacify an ego, a stereotype, or a complete lack of understanding that in Christ Jesus, there is no gender bias; God calls who He wills, when He wills, without obtaining the permission of man. His anointing on a life is just that, HIS anointing. I’ve heard enough, seen enough, been a victim of its judgements long enough. It’s time for Gods men/women wherever they are, to stand and hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church; even if He happens to want to use a woman. =) Regardless of the vessel He chooses to use, we should hear our Shepherds voice above our own pride and egos. I do not say these things out of anger, pain or un-forgiveness, these things are old to me and by His grace and life blood I’ve overcome them and was strengthened by the Lord through it, but many innocent women are still going to be its victim and many more will stand and give an account to God for the unnecessary suffering they’ve brought to others. It’s time to repent of this disgraceful display of authority and begin to be as Jesus was and wash one anothers feet as servants, not seeking to be served.

Women who are strong in the Lord and bold in their faith, are often targeted by ignorant people simply because they are not ashamed of who they are in Christ and who He is in them, they are fearless to preach the un-compromised Word of the Lord and manifest the love of God through their gifting. That boldness the Lord gives is misinterpreted as unruliness or a lack of submission or a desire for control. Granted there are many who are thrilled for the opportunity to control someone else’s life, but believe me, it’s not only women who manifest this work of the flesh. Let’s call it for what it really is, a work of the flesh. It’ not always a demon behind an ugly, pride filled heart. Because of this childish power struggle within many churches, ridiculous ghost chases are often released upon the innocent by paranoid thinkers who have no discernment. What is so sad is that many never stop pointing the finger long enough to ask the Spirit of God, who was sent to lead and guide us all into truth, what exactly Jesus was talking about when He rebuked His Church in the book of Revelation for tolerating that woman Jezebel. The enemy (the true Jezebel) has so many people looking around with eyes of suspicion, pointing their judgmental fingers at faith filled women of God, that they’re not seeing her slither right on in past them, bringing pollution to the masses. Who will listen to Jesus in this hour and break fellowship with this spirit of confusion and darkness sent to destroy the lovers and worshippers of God?

Jezebel has an agenda and only one agenda, to silence truth and pervert the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. She was clearly seen influencing Herod when John the Baptist told him it was unlawful for him to have his brother’s wife, Herodias. Because of this truth confrontation, Herod put John into prison so he could do as he pleased with no interruptions or convictions. Herod was so filled with lust for Herodias regardless of his conviction by the truth, that he promised to give her anything she desired, and at the request of her mother, she asked Herod for the head of John the Baptist, which he granted to her even though he knew it was wrong, yet his lust controlled him causing him to come into submission to an unrighteous voice. John, sent by God in the power and spirit of Elijah, suffered greatly at the hands of Jezebel and even still today it is happening to those who speak the truth boldly in Christ. She seek’s to silence the voice of righteousness, fight against the Spirit of Elijah and is completely consumed with spreading her idolatry and fornication among the pure of heart. What is the Church doing to those the Lord is sending to her? What are we doing to others to silence the Lords voice within them, in order to accommodate the spirit of compromise? Jezebel teaches the servants of Christ to compromise biblical truths, rejecting the sure foundation laid before the foundation of the earth and to instead become lovers of money/pleasure and Christian fame; allowing them to think she is the great voice of God (a prophetess) because she condones and applauds their behavior/thinking; releasing a false sense of acceptance and peace, such as one who see’s a thief on the road and consents to his thievery. This false peace only lasts until the one who steals is caught by a higher authority; releasing accurate conviction of wrongdoing by confrontation with the truth.

The nature of Jezebel is to destroy anyone or any ministry that would stand and say “this is not the righteousness of God that Jesus died to give to us”. Anyone, male or female, who has a voice for God, who will speak truth, even in the face of great adversity, is her primary target. It’s really not even necessarily about natural fornication, although it’s rampant within the body of Christ, it’s more about a voice that seduces the heart of the servants of the Lord from total devotion to God and away from the simplicity of Christ. Idolatry is another character trait she possesses, teaching the people of God to seek this world and it’s fame and glory, (much of that work of darkness is clearly seen in lime light christianity) rather than to seek the things that are above (the things of the Spirit) where Christ is sitting. We are called to walk even as He walked. She is so prevalent within the church in this hour, she no longer even needs to hide herself, she is right there in plain sight, but her fancies are pleasing and her delicacies appeal to the lust of the eye and the pride of life..

How many women who have sought to please Jesus as consecrated lovers, have come under this great accusation simply because they were women, possibly single, bold in their gifts as it should be, or in some cases, just because they had a husband who thought to Lord over their wife in an aggressive manner was the will of God, rather than to lead, protect and give their life for her, even as Christ did for His Church. It’s such a shame that this has been so pushed from pulpits that the Church has become for women, almost as dangerous as the wombs in America. Let’s quit aborting the gifts and callings within the women of God and allow their fruit to be born. It’s an hour of rising up into the head and that includes all members of the body of Christ.

Let’s consider another way Jezebel appears. She calls herself a prophetess (or she calls herself a voice for God but is not anointed, nor sent by Him). She leads people to do what is UNRIGHTEOUS (unjust) before God, taking those who belong to Jesus and putting them back into a position of bondage again to sin and self-righteousness. She teaches people to sacrifice to idols, such as making rituals and traditions of higher importance than worshipping the one true God; giving their lives and time to an institution and personalities, rather than obedience to Christ. Anything clicking yet? Jesus said He would rebuke all who held her TEACHINGS because they we not from the standpoint of faithfulness to one Husband, but rather immorality with the world. Her children will be rebuked by God Himself and has been given time to repent. It’s a mindset, a way of believing and living, it’s a heart issue. It’s not the poor woman sitting in your church who happens to carry spiritual authority because of her intimate walk with the Father and someone is threatened by her humility, choosing to accuse her wrongly rather than love her as He does and it’s not the woman who wears a little makeup or clothing you may not approve of, No, it’s not her, it’s a much bigger issue that’s being choked down, the mouth of many leaders and laymen are filled with camel’s hair, while they strain the gnats that are irrelevant to salvation. Jezebel has swallowed many innocent people with her erroneous teachings and doctrines. Look around you at the many churches who don’t preach repentance or coming into a new life in Christ and the putting off of the old man. They preach a powerless gospel, and because it’s powerless they agree with the thief, lest they lose their support. Look at churches that teach it’s okay to practice sexual lifestyles not in agreement with the Word of the Lord, calling it Gods love and grace, instead of preaching a gospel of grace that sets people free from their sins, delivering them from the kingdom of darkness through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and regeneration through the Spirit of God. Look at the masses that sacrifice to man-made ideals, agendas, and gimmicks with their finances; look at how many submit to laws not even found in the Word of God, they are simply powerless doctrines of man, but won’t hold fast to the solid teachings of the Lord Jesus. Time to wake up CHURCH and put off the mindset of generations of religious opinion and seek once again, the God of the Word… I’ve said my peace… AMEN!

Revelation 2:19-29

19. I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. 20‘But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she TEACHES and LEADS My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21‘I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality. 22‘Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her DEEDS. 23‘And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the MINDS and HEARTS; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. 24 ‘But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this TEACHING, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them—I place no other burden on you. 25 ‘Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come. 26 ‘He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS 27 AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star. 29‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
